Rosie Motene is a well known actress, presenter, director(M-Net), producer (M-Net), and voice artist. She has parlayed her high profile into a platform to sound off on women and children’s rights and help motivate others. Her background includes dance, choreography and theater (Turkish Delights’, ‘Deep in the Loca Lala’, Vagina Monologues, and ‘Nothing But The Truth‘). She was also a lead actress on on the SABC1 soap opera, ‘Generations’. Cinephiles might remember her from ‘Hotel Rwanda’, ‘The Other Woman‘, or ‘Wild at Heart’. She was was also one of the producers on the South Africa
film ‘JESUS AND THE GIANT,’ directed by Akin Omotoso.

Rosie is a board member of (People Opposing Women Abuse) POWA, Childline, The Tomorrow Trust, The Johannesburg Children’s home, and The Infinite Family, located in USA. She is also involved
in campaigning against women and child abuse in South Africa. She also offers media and presenter training workshops.
When she is not advocating for women and children’s rights, she is serving as a fashion icon for women in her native South Africa, and internationally. Her picture has been seen on many international and local magazines. She presented ‘Instyle’, a South African magazine program that dealt with food, lifestyle, travel, and entertainment. The role grew to become the successful Studio 53 Lifestyle show which showcased style on the African continent. She is currently one of the producers and directors for the show. She is also the new anchor for ‘African Kaleidoscope’, a lifestyle magazine show on the African Channel and a presenter for ‘The African Icons’, on the Mzansi Magic channel (this show honors South Africa’s great leaders). She recently formed her own production company, Rosie Motene Productions CC, which produces content for television, and a talent agency, Waka Agency, to source talent on the continent. The agency has clients from South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Ghana and Nigeria
